Which customers are impacted?: This release will impact Mortgage customers.

Required?:

  • Yes, this is a required release. Required releases are features that Blend wants to standardize in the codebase, and typically do not require additional configuration.

How to turn on: This feature will be automatically enabled on the dates listed above.

Purpose of Update and Benefit: This enhancement is to ensure that our platform is aligned with Freddie Mac’s LPA 6.0 specifications while enabling support for the redesigned Feedback Certificate. It provides lenders and TPRs with clearer, more actionable feedback, improved income and asset messaging, and a future-ready integration with minimal workflow impact.

Current Behavior: Conformed and defaulted to Freddie version 5.3.

New Behavior: The Freddie Mac LPA will default to version 6.0. This release can be enabled earlier in production upon request. The production date is the final deadline.

When you run DU, the system will now return the Freddie Mac LPA 6.0 Feedback Certificate. This ensures loan decisioning and findings are aligned with the latest Freddie Mac Loan Product Advisor requirements and provides consistency with current GSE standards.

Summary of LPA 6.0 Updates

  • Updated Feedback Certificate: DU responses now include the LPA 6.0 certificate format, reflecting Freddie Mac’s latest findings structure.

  • Alignment with Current Freddie Mac Standards: Data mapping, validation, and messaging are updated to support LPA 6.0 requirements.

  • No Change to User Workflow: The process for running DU remains the same; updates occur behind the scenes to maintain compliance and accuracy.
